Platforms VidFable supports
VidFable parses public video links from several major platforms. The formats and resolutions actually offered depend on what the source returns for that request; login-only, paid, private and region-locked pages never enter the delivery pipeline.
VidFable currently supports public video links from Xiaohongshu (RedNote), Douyin, Bilibili and YouTube.
Xiaohongshu (RedNote): public video notes are supported and commonly return 720p. Image-only notes contain no video and cannot be downloaded. Douyin: public video links are supported. Bilibili: public video pages are supported, commonly returning 360p–1080p. YouTube: public videos offer the widest choice of formats, up to 1080p and above.
Only public, non-DRM content that you own or are authorised to download is processed. Private, paid, login-only and region-locked pages never enter the delivery pipeline.
The resolution is whatever the source publicly returns for that request; the highest available tier is selected automatically, and a resolution that was never published cannot be synthesised.
A failed parse is usually the link itself: truncated, deleted or private, login-only, or the platform is rate-limiting. Copy the full share text again and retry.
Frequently asked questions
What does “being tested” mean?
Links from that platform can be submitted for a check, but availability is still being observed; the live check decides the outcome.
Why are some platforms unsupported?
Content that needs a login, a payment, is private or is DRM-protected is out of scope. That is a product boundary, not a fault.
How often is platform status updated?
Status comes from periodic server-side probing and reflects the most recent real request rather than hand-written copy.
